Dutch Firm OrangeQS Raises $12.9M to Scale Quantum Testing Tech

Dutch deep tech startup Orange Quantum Systems (OrangeQS) is pushing the boundaries of quantum hardware validation with cutting-edge testing solutions tailored for the next era of scalable quantum computing.
With a wave of fresh investments and breakthrough product releases, the company is setting a new standard for accuracy, automation, and efficiency in quantum chip testing.
A spin off from the renowned QuTech research institute, OrangeQS aims to make testing quantum processors as routine and reliable as in the classical semiconductor world addressing one of the biggest bottlenecks in the quantum race.
Strategic Funding Fuels Momentum
In 2023, OrangeQS secured a €1.5 million pre-seed investment, co led by QDNL Participations and Cottonwood Technology Fund, and supported by a grant from the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator.
In 2024, Dutch regional fund InnovationQuarter joined in, further accelerating OrangeQS’s growth in R&D and product deployment.
From Manual to Autonomous: The OrangeQS Max
Late 2024 marked the debut of OrangeQS Max, the startup’s flagship automated system capable of testing quantum chips with 100+ qubits.
Developed in collaboration with IQM Quantum Computers, Max drastically reduces the time and effort traditionally required to validate quantum devices transforming a process that once took weeks into a streamlined, hands free workflow.
In early 2025, the company followed up with OrangeQS FLEX, a modular toolset created for quantum R&D teams seeking a customizable, plug-and-play solution for device testing in early development stages.
Open-Source Vision with Juice OS
OrangeQS is also building a foundation for broader accessibility through its open source operating system Juice, now in closed beta and set for public release by the end of 2025.
Juice is designed to simplify calibration, system orchestration, and control critical components for researchers working on cutting-edge quantum platforms.
Powering the Industrial Quantum Leap
As quantum processors grow in size and complexity, OrangeQS is stepping in as a key infrastructure partner, enabling reliable, scalable testing solutions that bridge the gap between the lab and the production line.
“Our mission is to make scalable quantum computing possible by delivering tools that are fast, accurate, and future-ready,” the company stated. “You can’t build the future of quantum without robust, intelligent testing.”
