Islamabad-based healthtech startup MedIQ Smart Healthcare has raised $6 million in Series A funding, strengthening its vision to revolutionize access to healthcare across Pakistan and beyond through digital innovation.

Founded in 2020 by Dr. Saira Siddique, MedIQ is Pakistan’s first fully integrated B2B virtual care platform. The company provides end-to-end healthcare services including virtual consultations, online pharmacy, diagnostics, and at-home care via a flexible digital infrastructure designed for insurance providers, hospitals, and businesses.
Dr. Siddique, a health economist by profession, is also one of Pakistan’s few solo female founders to secure such significant funding in the tech space.
Under her leadership, MedIQ has served more than 300,000 patients and expanded internationally to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Canada.
In Saudi Arabia, the company has partnered with leading institutions such as Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital and Elm, aligning with the country’s Vision 2030 agenda to digitize healthcare delivery.
With this latest investment, MedIQ plans to upgrade its AI-powered platform, expand to 20 cities across Pakistan, and further accelerate its international growth.
“This funding is a major step forward not only for MedIQ, but for Pakistan’s digital health ecosystem as a whole,” said Dr. Siddique.
“We are focused on delivering accessible, affordable, and tech-enabled care to millions, regardless of location.” MedIQ’s growth underscores the increasing importance of digital healthcare in regions where access to traditional medical infrastructure remains limited.
