Podcast to Video? Bilibili’s AI Does It in 6 Minutes
Chinese video platform Bilibili has announced a new AI powered tool that allows creators to turn audio or text-based content into polished video in just a few minutes.
Currently known under the codename “Project H”, the tool is part of Bilibili’s effort to simplify and speed up content production for video podcast creators.
According to the company, the tool can generate a fully edited video from a script of 1,000 characters in about 6 minutes, and future updates aim to reduce that time to just 3 minutes.
It’s designed for creators who may not have the technical skills or resources to produce high-quality video from scratch. To support this rollout, Bilibili also launched a Summer Support Program tailored to video podcast creators, which includes:
Up to ¥1 billion worth of traffic promotion to help new content gain visibility,
Free studio access in major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Hangzhou,
Early access to the new AI tool, allowing creators to test and benefit from the technology before public release.
Bilibili’s move comes as the platform sees a significant rise in video podcast engagement. In Q1 2025 alone, users watched more than 2.59 billion minutes of podcast content, with the total number of podcast viewers exceeding 40 million a 270% year-over-year increase.
This initiative is part of a broader strategy by Bilibili to leverage AI in areas like personalized recommendations, smart comment management, AI voiceovers, and automated summaries.
