AI Cybersecurity Startup Doppel Raises $35M to Fight Digital Impersonation Threats
Doppel, a fast growing cybersecurity company using artificial intelligence to combat digital impersonation and social engineering threats, has secured $35 million in a Series B funding round.
The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with additional backing from 9Yards Capital, Sozo Ventures, and returning investors including Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and Strategic Cyber Ventures.

This new investment brings Doppel’s total funding to $54.4 million, valuing the company at $205 million. Doppel’s AI-powered platform monitors and detects impersonation threats across email, social media, websites, and mobile apps.
It uses large language models (LLMs) and expert oversight to proactively dismantle fake accounts, phishing scams, and social engineering campaigns before they can cause damage.
The funding comes on the heels of explosive growth for the San Francisco-based startup with a 400% increase in enterprise clients and triple the recurring revenue in just one year.
Doppel plans to use the capital to accelerate product development, scale automation, and expand its presence across industries.
“We’re building the world’s first dedicated social engineering defense platform,” said Kevin Tian, CEO of Doppel. “This funding allows us to move faster, strengthen our technology, and help more organizations stay protected against today’s most deceptive cyber threats.”
Doppel processes over 100 million data points every day and has maintained an impressive 230% annual growth rate.
Its AI agent, trained on thousands of real world threat cases, has doubled analyst efficiency by automating time consuming tasks like threat triage and takedowns.
