AI First Fintech Abacum Lands $60M Series B
Spanish American fintech company Abacum has announced a fresh $60 million Series B funding round, aimed at supercharging its AI powered FP&A platform and accelerating its growth across the U.S. market.
The funding round was led by Scale Venture Partners, with participation from major global investors including Cathay Innovation, Y Combinator, Creandum, Atomico, and Kfund.
This round brings Abacum’s total funding to more than $90 million, underlining strong investor confidence in its vision.
Transforming Finance Teams with AI
Founded in Barcelona and now operating with dual headquarters in New York, Abacum offers a next-generation financial planning and analysis (FP&A) platform that leverages artificial intelligence to automate and enhance strategic finance workflows.
Unlike traditional FP&A tools, Abacum’s platform uses multi agent AI systems to simulate scenarios, deliver real-time insights, and recommend proactive financial strategies allowing finance teams to become more agile and impactful.
“Our mission is to empower finance professionals to drive strategic decisions, not just manage spreadsheets,” said Julio Martínez, co-founder and CEO of Abacum. “This investment will help us double down on our AI roadmap while expanding rapidly in North America, where we already generate over half of our revenue.”
Global Expansion and Rapid Growth
In the last 12 months, Abacum has grown revenue threefold and expanded its footprint to over 30 countries, all while maintaining a lean team. It now counts brands like Strava, JG Wentworth, and Mastercam among its customers.
What sets Abacum apart is its balance of enterprise-grade functionality and user-friendly design. “Abacum has cracked the code on what modern finance teams need: power and simplicity,” said Stacey Bishop, partner at Scale Venture Partners. “Their AI-first platform is reshaping how CFOs make decisions.”
What Comes Next
The newly raised capital will be used to:
- Scale Abacum’s operations and team in the United States
- Release powerful new AI features for dynamic forecasting, real-time collaboration, and strategic modeling
