AI Health Startup Aeon Raises €8.2M to Fight Disease Early
Aeon, a pioneering health technology startup based in Zurich, has successfully closed a €8.2 million seed funding round.
This capital injection, led by London based venture capital firm Concentric, also saw investments from Calm/Storm Ventures, GoHub Ventures, Kadmos Capital, EWOR, and angel investor Daniel Gutenberg.
Swiss Startup Aeon Secures €8.2M Seed Funding
Established in 2023 by CEO Tim Seithe and CPO Samuel Frey, Aeon is reshaping the landscape of preventive medicine by combining whole body MRI scans with blood biomarker analysis and genetic testing.
Their comprehensive platform screens for more than 500 diseases, aiming to catch early signs of serious illnesses such as cancer and Alzheimer’s often before symptoms arise. Impressively, Aeon’s technology has demonstrated zero false positives in clinical follow ups.
The new funding will support Aeon’s expansion into Germany and the United Kingdom, alongside strengthening collaborations with insurance companies and employers.
By doing so, Aeon plans to make advanced preventive diagnostics more accessible and cost-effective for a broader population.
A portion of the funds will also enhance the startup’s AI-driven system to deliver faster and more precise disease detection.
In Switzerland, Aeon’s diagnostic services are reimbursed by leading insurers like KPT, allowing customers to recover up to 80% of their expenses.
This makes Aeon a trailblazer in offering fully insured, comprehensive preventive health checks in the region.
