Australian logistics tech giant WiseTech Global has announced its biggest acquisition yet, acquiring U.S. based cloud supply chain platform E2open in an all-cash deal valued at $2.1 billion.
The move strengthens WiseTech’s global footprint and enhances its end-to-end logistics and trade software offerings.
Under the agreement, E2open shareholders will receive $3.30 per share, a notable premium over recent trading prices.
The transaction is being fully financed through a newly secured $3 billion syndicated loan, backed by a group of nine major lenders, including Deutsche Bank and HSBC.

Richard White, WiseTech’s founder and executive chairman, described the deal as a “pivotal milestone” in the company’s journey to become the digital backbone of global trade.
He emphasized that combining E2open’s capabilities with WiseTech’s will help create a dynamic digital ecosystem, streamlining communication and operations across the global supply chain.
Headquartered in Addison, Texas, E2open operates in more than 20 countries, processes over 18 billion supply chain transactions annually, and connects over 500,000 companies through its platform.
The acquisition will expand WiseTech’s client base to 5,600+ direct customers, including more than 250 large enterprise clients.
The deal has been unanimously approved by E2open’s board and is expected to close in the first half of 2026, pending regulatory approvals. Once finalized, E2open’s shares will be delisted from the New York Stock Exchange.
Following the announcement, WiseTech’s stock price climbed 4.7%, signaling investor confidence in the strategic value of the deal. While analysts view the acquisition as aligned with WiseTech’s long term vision, they also note the company’s increased leverage will be closely watched moving forward.
