HistoIndex Lands SGD 9M to Power AI-Driven Liver Diagnostics in the U.S.

Singapore based medtech innovator HistoIndex has successfully raised SGD 9 million in a funding round led by OCBC Bank, marking the bank’s first direct investment in a healthcare technology company.

AI in Healthcare Gets a Boost as HistoIndex Raises SGD 9 Million
A major focus will be on the continued development and adoption of its AI powered digital pathology technologies, designed to revolutionize the diagnosis and monitoring of liver diseases such as Metabolic Dysfunction Associated Steatohepatitis (MASH).
Founded in 2010, HistoIndex is known for its stain free imaging and automated fibrosis analysis, enabling more accurate and efficient evaluation of tissue samples without traditional chemical staining.
These innovations are helping reshape drug development and clinical diagnostics by providing faster and more objective insights into disease progression and treatment response.
Part of this expansion includes the U.S. launch of FibroSIGHT™, a next-generation Laboratory Developed Test (LDT) that offers detailed, AI-enhanced liver fibrosis assessment.
The test supports physicians in delivering more tailored treatment strategies to patients by detecting subtle tissue changes that traditional methods might miss.
Dr. Gideon Ho, CEO of HistoIndex, stated: “This investment comes at a pivotal moment as we scale our presence in the U.S. and continue our mission to improve diagnostic precision with AI.
Our goal is to make advanced liver diagnostics more accessible, reliable, and impactful for patients around the world.”
With this funding, HistoIndex strengthens its position as a leader in digital pathology innovation, signaling strong investor confidence in the role of AI in the future of healthcare.
