i-Kingtec Secures $69M to Propel Low Altitude AI Drone Technology

Chinese industrial drone company i-Kingtec has raised 500 million yuan (approximately $69 million) in a Series D funding round to advance its AI powered low altitude drone technology.
Founded in 2017 during his PhD at Peking University, i-Kingtec holds over 600 patents in its field.
AI-Driven Drone Innovation: i-Kingtec Raises $69M for Growth
The company specializes in providing “drone-network-cloud” systematic solutions for industrial users, combining four dimensional real-world maps, industrial drones, ground robots, automated “airports,” and IoT cloud platforms.
These solutions are applied in various sectors, including smart grids, oil and gas pipelines, emergency management, and smart cities.
i-Kingtec‘s intelligent drone garages enable completely unmanned operations, including self patrol and battery changes.
The company has launched around 1,000 intelligent drone garages in 15 provinces to secure normal operations of power transmission networks and other power facilities, such as wind and photovoltaic farms.
The new funding will support the development and deployment of i-Kingtec‘s low-altitude AI drones, further enhancing the company’s capabilities in industrial automation and infrastructure monitoring.
This investment underscores the growing importance of AI driven drone technology in China’s low altitude economy, which is expected to reach a scale of 3 trillion yuan ($413.68 billion) by 2030.
