Indonesia Partners with Google to Train AI Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow

In a bold move to accelerate AI innovation in Southeast Asia, Google has teamed up with Indonesia’s Ministry of Communications and Digital Affairs to support 100 AI driven startups over the next five years.
The initiative centers around a new accelerator called “Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First for Indonesia.”
The three month, equity-free program is designed for early stage startups building generative or agent based AI solutions tailored to real-world problems. The first 20 startups will kick off in September 2025.
What the Program Offers:
- Up to $350,000 in Google Cloud credits over two years
- 1-on-1 mentorship from Google’s AI and product experts
- Technical workshops, growth support, and networking with top players
- Exclusive access to AI tools customized for the Indonesian market
At the same time, Google Cloud is launching “Indonesia BerdAIa,” a parallel initiative focused on helping key sectors like agriculture, healthcare, education, and public services adopt AI in impactful ways.
Organizations like Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison and Universitas Brawijaya are already on board. Google is also scaling up its JuaraGCP learning platform to help more Indonesians build future ready skills.
The goal: reach over 800,000 completed training labs in cloud, AI, and cybersecurity by 2026.
This is about building a local AI ecosystem designed by Indonesians, for Indonesia,” said a Google spokesperson.
