Mobile Gaming Powerhouse Dream Games Draws $2.5B in Fresh Investment

Turkish mobile game developer Dream Games has secured an unprecedented $2.5 billion in combined debt and equity financing, catapulting its company valuation to nearly $5 billion and marking one of the largest tech investment deals in Turkey’s history.
The funding round was spearheaded by global private equity giant CVC Capital Partners, which acquired a minority stake in the company. Additional financing came from Blackstone and other institutional investors through structured debt facilities.
Founded in 2019 by a team of former Peak Games executives, Dream Games gained worldwide recognition with Royal Match, its breakout puzzle game.

The title topped global charts in 2023, surpassing Candy Crush Saga to become the year’s highest-grossing mobile game, generating $1.5 billion in revenue.
However, the company also reported a $130 million pre-tax loss that year, attributed to a bold marketing push exceeding $1 billion in spending part of its aggressive growth strategy aimed at scaling its user base globally.
As part of the latest transaction, early venture capital supporters including Index Ventures, Balderton Capital, Makers Fund, and IVP have exited the company.
Despite the reshuffling, Dream Games’ five original co-founders led by CEO Soner Aydemir remain in control with a majority stake and will continue to lead the company’s growth.
“We’re incredibly proud of the journey so far and excited to partner with new investors who believe in our long-term vision,” said Aydemir in a statement.
“This investment will help us accelerate development and expand our reach in global markets.” With fresh capital in hand, Dream Games plans to scale its portfolio, invest in new titles, and further solidify its position as a dominant force in the global mobile gaming industry.
