Repello AI, a U.S. based cybersecurity startup focused on generative AI, has raised $1.2 million in seed funding to expand its automated threat detection platform and grow its engineering team.
The round was led by Venture Highway, Pi Ventures, and Entrepreneur First, with backing from notable angel investors including Charles Songhurst, Vivek Raghavan, and Satya Vas.
Building AI That Defends Itself
Founded in 2023 by Aryaman Behera (formerly of Microsoft’s Azure Red Team) and Naman Mishra (ex-American Express), Repello AI addresses a growing blind spot in AI adoption: security.
As large language models (LLMs) become deeply embedded in software and services, vulnerabilities like prompt injection, jailbreaking, and adversarial misuse have emerged as major threats. Repello’s flagship platform, ARTEMIS, enables continuous, automated red teaming for AI models.
It scans applications for hidden weaknesses during the development lifecycle and delivers real time feedback and fixes integrating seamlessly into existing CI/CD pipelines.
“AI systems are getting smarter, but so are the attacks. Our goal is to help teams deploy AI with confidence,” said co-founder and CEO Aryaman Behera.
