AI Driven Lung Cancer Test: Pharus Diagnostics Pursues Hong Kong Investment
Pharus Diagnostics, a Taiwan-based biotech startup, is seeking investment in Hong Kong to further develop its AI-powered lung cancer detection test.
Supported by prominent Hong Kong billionaire Li Ka-shing, Pharus has already secured over half of its funding goal for this round. The company plans to complete both clinical trials and close the funding round by the end of 2025.
CEO Philip Huang emphasized Hong Kong’s strategic significance, not only as a hub for fundraising but also as a gateway to the mainland Chinese market and a testing ground for next-generation medical technologies.
Pharus recently gained significant recognition by winning the Jumpstarter competition, organized by the Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund.
The funds raised will be used to propel the development of its AI driven early stage lung cancer detection test. With strong investor backing and a focus on cutting-edge solutions, Pharus is poised to make major strides in AI-enabled healthcare technologies.
