RackBank to Launch India’s First AI Optimized Data Center in Madhya Pradesh

RackBank Datacenters Pvt. Ltd., one of India’s leading data hosting companies, has announced plans to construct the country’s first data center built specifically for artificial intelligence workloads.
The facility will be located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and is set to go live in the last quarter of 2024, reaching full operational capacity by Q3 2025.
The high-density AI infrastructure will host up to 60,000 GPUs, with rack power densities ranging from 50kW to 150kW.

RackBank will implement its proprietary Varuna liquid immersion cooling system alongside rear door heat exchangers to achieve outstanding energy efficiency, targeting a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) between 1.1 and 1.3.
Strategically positioned in central India, the facility is designed to deliver sub-10 millisecond latency across the country.
Built in four phases of 20MW each, the project aligns with India’s ambitions for digital transformation and environmentally conscious infrastructure.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav highlighted the project’s role in boosting the region’s tech ecosystem, creating new jobs, and strengthening collaboration between academia and private industry.
The state government is supporting the initiative through tax incentives and access to affordable energy.
With this landmark project, RackBank aims to position India as a global player in AI infrastructure, offering cutting-edge compute capacity to meet both domestic and international demand.
