San Francisco based startup Clara Home Care has successfully raised $3.1 million in seed funding to revolutionize in home care services for seniors through its AI driven platform.
The funding round was led by Torch Capital, with additional investments from Virtue, Y Combinator, and a group of angel investors.
Simplifying Senior Care with Smart Technology
Founded in 2024, Clara offers families an intuitive digital platform that streamlines the entire caregiving process from background checks and scheduling to payments and tax filings.
This solution eases the burden on families seeking reliable, personalized care for their elderly loved ones.
What sets Clara apart is its AI powered matching technology, which pairs caregivers and families based on skills, availability, and personality fit, ensuring strong and lasting connections.

Clara provides not only transparency and control for families but also competitive wages ranging between $25 and $30 per hour in major metropolitan areas for caregivers.
The platform supports flexible work hours and offers digital tools to simplify caregivers’ daily responsibilities, improving job satisfaction.
Since launching, Clara has delivered over 15,000 hours of care in the San Francisco Bay Area and enrolled more than 1,500 vetted caregivers into its network.
With the new capital, Clara aims to:
