GridFree Raises $5M to Solve AI Energy Demands

Founded by former executives from Microsoft and BP, GridFree AI has officially emerged with a bold goal: to transform the way data centers are powered and deployed globally.

Backed by a $5 million seed investment led by Giant Ventures, the company is building off grid, modular “power foundries” tailored for the growing demands of AI infrastructure.

These next-generation units combine natural gas power, battery energy storage, and liquid cooling technologies all designed to operate independently of traditional utility grids or diesel generators.

A 50% boost in available IT power
Rapid deployment in any location with gas access

Initial rollouts will begin in the southeastern U.S., with plans to expand across the UK and Europe.
