Scalera Secures €5.7M to Digitize Construction Procurement with AI
Scalera, a Zurich-based AI-driven construction procurement startup and spin off from ETH Zürich, has successfully secured €5.7 million in a seed funding round led by Firstminute Capital and Speedinvest.
The round also included participation from notable angel investors linked to Google, unicorn startups, and key figures in the construction sector.
Scalera’s platform leverages AI to digitize procurement processes in the construction industry, automating tasks such as supplier identification, material quality assessments, and quote coordination.

By minimizing manual work, the platform aims to enhance operational efficiency and streamline workflow. “The construction industry still heavily relies on manual procurement processes.
Our goal is to change that with AI-powered solutions,” said Leonardo Reinhard, CEO and co-founder of Scalera. “This investment will enable us to expand our engineering team and accelerate our entry into the German and Austrian markets.”
The funds will be allocated to product development, AI capability enhancement, and scaling market penetration across Europe.
Scalera employs a value based pricing model, charging clients based on the cost savings generated through its AI solutions.
This successful funding round not only highlights investor confidence in Scalera’s vision to revolutionize construction procurement but also positions the company as a leading player in the sector’s ongoing digital transformation.
