Singapore Welcomes Grab’s First AI Innovation Hub

Grab, the leading super app in Southeast Asia, has unveiled its first Artificial Intelligence (AI) Center of Excellence in Singapore.
This new hub aims to fast-track the development of smart AI solutions that will enhance the company’s wide range of services, including ride hailing, food delivery, financial products, and logistics.
The center will bring together a team of expert data scientists, machine learning engineers, and AI specialists dedicated to creating advanced AI technologies such as natural language processing, computer vision, and predictive analytics.

These innovations will help improve safety, efficiency, and customer experience across Grab’s platform. “AI is a core part of how we deliver seamless and personalized services to millions of users,” said Ming Maa, Group President at Grab.
“By establishing this Center of Excellence, we are investing in the talent and technology needed to drive new innovations and maintain our leadership position in the region.”
Singapore was chosen for its vibrant tech ecosystem, strong research institutions, and supportive government policies.
Grab also plans to collaborate with local universities, startups, and government agencies to nurture AI talent and advance research in Southeast Asia.
